These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LocalMuse (“the App”). LocalMuse is an on-device AI image generation and editing app for iPhone. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or download any AI model through it.
These Terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement and the license that applies to each downloadable AI model. They do not replace or expand those licenses.
If these Terms conflict with a mandatory term of the Apple Standard EULA or a model-specific license, the applicable Apple or model-license term controls to the extent of that conflict.
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. LocalMuse is not intended for children under 13.
Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, you may use LocalMuse for personal or commercial creative work to the extent permitted by applicable law and by the license of the model you select.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, interfere with, or attempt to extract components of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it or an applicable open-source license grants that right.
LocalMuse processes prompts, source images, masks, generation settings, and generated images on your device. It does not send this creative content to a cloud AI-generation service. Some features require downloading an AI model before they can run locally.
On-device generation can be resource-intensive. Performance, generation time, available resolutions, and model compatibility vary by iPhone model, free storage, available memory, device temperature, and selected settings.
AI models available through LocalMuse are provided by third parties and remain subject to their respective licenses, notices, and use restrictions. The applicable model and source information is available in the App under Settings > Acknowledgements & Licenses.
When you choose “Download & Generate” or “Update & Generate,” you request that LocalMuse download and install the selected model. Downloading or using a model constitutes your agreement to comply with its applicable license and use restrictions. If you do not agree to a model’s license, do not download or use that model.
If you redistribute a model or a derivative of a model, you are responsible for providing all required license text, notices, source information, attribution, and use restrictions to downstream recipients. LocalMuse does not grant rights beyond those provided by the model’s rights holders.
Models may be updated, removed, or become unavailable without notice. LocalMuse does not guarantee the continued availability of any particular model or hosting service.
You retain any rights you have in prompts, source images, and generated output, subject to applicable law, model licenses, and third-party rights. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, unexpected, similar to existing material, or ineligible for copyright or other exclusive protection.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights and permissions needed for every prompt, image, trademark, likeness, personal datum, or other material you use with LocalMuse. You are also responsible for reviewing generated output before saving, sharing, publishing, selling, or relying on it.
You must not use LocalMuse or any model available through it to create, facilitate, promote, or distribute content or activity that:
This list does not narrow any model-specific license. If a model license imposes stricter restrictions, those restrictions also apply.
LocalMuse may use on-device prompt and image checks to reduce unsafe output. Automated safety measures are not perfect. A result passing a safety check does not mean that it is lawful, safe, accurate, or free of third-party rights. Do not attempt to tamper with or bypass safety controls.
LocalMuse’s handling of information is described in the LocalMuse Privacy Policy. Model downloads contact Hugging Face or its delivery infrastructure and may disclose technical network-request information to that service. Review the Privacy Policy before downloading a model.
LocalMuse may link to Apple, Hugging Face, model creators, source repositories, license pages, and other third-party services. Those services are independent and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Use of Hugging Face is also subject to the Hugging Face Terms of Service and Hugging Face Privacy Policy.
LocalMuse and its output are creative tools, not professional advice. Do not rely on generated output as medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional guidance.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LocalMuse, downloadable models, and generated output are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that the App or any output will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, unique, non-infringing, suitable for a particular purpose, or compatible with every device. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of LocalMuse will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the App, a third-party model, or generated output. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Your right to use LocalMuse or a model ends if required by the Apple Standard EULA, the applicable model license, or law, or if you materially breach these Terms. When required, you must stop using and delete the affected model and any copies under your control.
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to LocalMuse, available models, licenses, safety requirements, or applicable law. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means that your use is subject to the revised Terms.
