LocalMuse Privacy Policy

LocalMuse (“the App”, “we”, “our”) is an on-device AI image generation app for iPhone. Generation runs entirely on your device. This policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is handled. Information the App Accesses Prompts, images, and generation data When you generate or edit images, the App processes text prompts, optional negative prompts, source images (for Image to Image or Upscale), generation settings (such as model, steps, seed, and related options), and the resulting images locally on your device. This content is not uploaded to us or to a cloud AI-generation service. Local storage The App may store the following in its private on-device storage: • prompts and generation settings; • source and generated images, plus related gallery metadata; • app preferences (for example selected models and optional settings); • downloaded on-device AI model files. This data stays on your device unless you choose to save an image to Photos or download a model as described below. Photo Library To pick a source image, the App uses Apple’s system photo picker. It does not request permission to browse your entire photo library. If you choose “Save to Photos,” the App requests add-only Photos permission solely to save the image you selected. Selected and generated images are not uploaded to us. App preferences Preferences such as the selected model and optional generation settings are stored locally (including via Apple’s UserDefaults). They do not leave the device. AI Model Downloads Some features require downloading an on-device AI model. Model files are downloaded over HTTPS directly to your device from Hugging Face or its delivery infrastructure. The App does not send your prompts, images, or generation settings with these downloads. The model host may process technical information needed to deliver the file (such as IP address, device information, request time, and download logs). That processing is governed by the provider’s privacy policy: https://huggingface.co/privacy The model catalog currently ships with the App. The App does not send generation content when loading catalog data. What We Do Not Do We do not require an account, login, or subscription. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics, or cross-app tracking. We do not receive or access your prompts, source images, generated images, or locally stored settings. The only external network use initiated by the App is an optional model download that you request. Retention and Deletion You control locally stored content: • delete creations from the LocalMuse gallery; • delete downloaded models from the model selection screen; • temporary source-image files may be cleared by the App; • deleting the App removes its local data, subject to your device and backup settings; • images saved to Apple Photos remain there until you delete them in Photos. Children’s Privacy LocalMuse does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not provide accounts or cloud content storage, it does not maintain personal profiles of users. Changes If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
